Dogs that come to stay with us are nurtured as
if they were at home with every comfort and easy level access to a large, level lawn. Here they can
be exercised in accordance with their vet’s or physio’s strict instructions. For those requiring
further exercise and rehabilitation, the garden leads through to open fields and countryside –
ideal for a gradual return to normal exercise during convalescence.
It is of paramount
importance for us to follow veterinary advice implicitly regarding exercise and therapy
particularly if your pet has had surgery. Obviously this is something that may be extremely
difficult at home with given time constraints and work or family commitments. It is also
difficult for owners to take a break or holiday during their pet’s convalescent period so we are
able to offer home boarding for dogs for a week or two so that you can go away confident that
your pet’s rehabilitation programme will be continued appropriately in your absence.
We are able to offer day
care or overnight/weekly home boarding, pet sitting and dog walking to suit your needs. We also
have a network of carers who are able to visit local patients daily should you wish to keep your
pet at home but are unable to exercise him/her sufficiently throughout the day.
For those animals just needing a little bit of
extra care while their owners are away, we are also able to take in boarders who can just be
part of the family and do not require rehabilitation. They are treated as our own and looked
after and exercised as you wish. The only stipulation is that they must be able to mix
happily with other dogs.
